This just in: Gap Inc's brands Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime and Athleta products can now be shipped internationally to nearly 50 countries, including Australia and New Zealand.
Gap Inc. announced earlier this month that global e-commerce provider, FiftyOne, would provide the shipping services, so the caveat is that your transaction will be with FiftyOne, and not Gap Inc.
Apparently not all items can be shipped internationally, but there's no guidelines as to what items fall into that category -- if you find something that cannot be shipped, please post a comment as it would be nice to know.
In non-online Gap Inc news, the new Westfield in Pitt Street, Sydney, which launches in October this year, will have Australia's first Gap retail store.
Gap store is now open in Melbourne...and Sydney any minute. Yay! :)
